Poland's Radwanska secures spot for Kremlin Cup finals

Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska secured a spot for the finals of the Kremlin Cup in Moscow today without hitting a ball. The organisers of the WTA championships said world number nine French, Marion Bartoli was the only player with a chance of catching the eighth-ranked Pole Radwanska but she needed to win in Moscow to clinch a place in the eight-player field in Istanbul. However, the French woman retired from her Kremlin Cup quarterfinal due to an illness today. Radwanska will now join world number one Caroline Wozniacki and Maria Sharapova, among others, in Istanbul next week.
