Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Piotr Glinski called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar today. Mr. Glinski is head of the Polish delegation which is in India to attend Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. Mr. Modi recalled the longstanding relationship between India and Poland. <br/><br/>He said Poland was the first country to extend help when Gujarat faced an earthquake. The Prime Minister also recalled that Junagadh had provided succour to more than 1000 Poles who had come from Siberia.<br/><br/>The two leaders made a comprehensive review of bilateral relations. Mr. Modi invited Polish participation in the coal mining sector which India has opened up for FDI.'<br/>He also appreciated Polish support for India's membership of MTCR and NSG. He said India would support Polish plans to push forward air connectivity. The e-Visa scheme would benefit visitors from Poland. <br/><br/>The Polish Deputy Prime Minister said his country wants to work with India especially in coal mining, green technology and recognizing this opportunity he has come with a large business delegation. <br/>
