Poland defeated Iran and Bangladesh beat Australia in the Kabaddi World Cup at the TransStadia Arena in Ahmedabad yesterday. In a Group B match, minnows Poland scored an upset win as they beat mighty Iran by 41-25. Captain Michal Spiczko led from the front and scored 12 points to lead Poland to a memorable victory. In other Group A match, Bangladesh crushed Australia by a big margin 80-8. The massive margin of win helped the Bangladesh to shatter three records — most points scored in a match, record victory margin and most number of all outs in a match. Bangladesh still have an chance to make it to the semi-finals but will have to rely on England to upset India in their next match. India will play their last group league match against England today.
