Polling parties are being rushed to their respective polling centres for fourth phase of assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Voting will be held tomorrow in 52 constituencies spread over 12 districts. These are Allahabad, Chitrakoot, Banda, Fatehpur, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Jhansi, Kaushambi, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Pratapgarh and Raebareli in Bundelkhand and Eastern regions of the state. A total of 680 candidates including 61 women are in the fray in the fourth phase of elections. <br/><br/>Campaigning for this phase ended yesterday evening. All major political parties and claimant of power have conducted intensive campaigning for this phase. At Allahabad, BJP president Amit Shah and State unit president Keshav Prasad Maurya, BJP ally Apana Dal President Anupriya Patel and SP-Congress alliance leaders Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi conducted road shows and also addressing public meetings yesterday. The election commission has taken several steps for free and fair voting. Central Para Military forces have conducted flag march in sensitive areas. Above one crore 84 lakhs electorates will exercise their franchise in this phase.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, all major political parties have intensified their campaigning for remaining phases of elections. BSP supremo Mayawati addressed two rallies in Gonda and Basti districts and targeted BJP and SP on several issues. BJP President Amit Shah will address rallies today at Sultanpur, Azamgarh and Gorakhpur districts. UP BJP President Keshav Prasad Maurya, senior party leaders Rajnath Singh, Smriti Jubin Irani, Kalraj Mishra and several other leaders also scheduled to address public meetings in different poll bound districts. <br/><br/>Samajwadi party president Akhilesh Yadav will be at Baharaich, Shrawasti and Gonda districts. Party has expelled its women wing national president Dr Ranjana Vajpayee from the party for her alleged anti party activities. Her son is a BJP candidate in Allahabad district.
