In Nepal, with the seven-day dateline given by the President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav to the political parties to form a national consensus government coming to a close later today, the three major political parties have decided to convene a meeting of all 25-parties in the constituent assembly this afternoon to seek five more days to complete their dialogue process in an attempt to form a government based on consensus.<br/><br/>A meeting of the top leaders of Unified CPN(Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN(UML) held in Kathmandu today agreed to discuss the issue with other parties in the constituent assembly before making a formal request to the President. AIR Correspondent reports that the despite a hectic week long parleys, political parties have failed to meet the dateline set by the President to resolve the deadlock on government formation.
