Political parties continued burning the midnight oil to finalise their list of candidates for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Maharashtra, Haryana and Arunachal Pradesh. <br/>The two coalition partners Congress and NCP have cleared most of their candidates while talks were still on for a handful of seats in Mumbai and Thane. Congress members in Mumbai expect an official announcement on the pre-poll alliance today. Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and several of his cabinet colleagues have got the nod to contest assembly elections. Earlier on Monday, Shiv Sena released the first list of 126 candidates with 60 new names and the BJP released its second list of 20 candidates. After the release of 66 names, the BJP has now come out with its second list of 20 candidates which include Pankaja Munde Palave, daughter of BJP General Secretary Gopinath Munde and Ashish Deshmukh, son of Ranjit Deshmukh. <br/>The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena also announced its first list of 100 candidates for the assembly elections. The Bahujan Samaj Party which is contesting alone for all 288 seats in Maharashtra has released its first list of 38 candidates. Shiv Sena announced its first list of 126 candidates on Monday. The list includes 37 members of the previous Assembly, while 60 new faces have been accommodated. Following the release of the first list, the party witnessed rebellion of its activists at various places including Mumbai suburbs and Aura. A list of 100 candidates were released by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena which includes names of Bala Nandgaonkar, Shirish Parker, Shilpa Satpotdar, Shalini Thakre and Shishir Shinde who has also contested for seats in the Lok Sabha election 2009.<br/>Congress and NCP will be going for a joint manifesto and campaign for the assembly election in the state. Maharashtra Congress Committee President Manikrao Thakre told reporters in New Delhi that this will be done after the alliance is formalised. <br/>Central Election Committee of Congress has cleared names of 65 candidates late last night for assembly elections in Haryana. The names of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, senior leaders Kiran Choudhary, Ajay Singh Yadav, Mange Ram Gupta and Harmohinder Singh Chadha has figured in the list. For the remaining 25 seats the names of seat takers are plenty so the list will be presented for the consideration of CEC to take another look at this list. <br/>The Indian National Lok Dal has also released a third list of seven candidates for assembly polls yesterday late in the evening. With this list the party has declared total 81 candidates for the 90 constituencies of the state.<br/>Although with the announcement of 81 candidates INLD is fore runner, so far the BJP has come out with total 73 candidates and Haryana Janhit Congress had announced its 58 nominees. On the other side, Bahujan Samaj Party has also declared its 1st list of 63 candidates yesterday. The Central Election Committee of Congress has finalised names of 65 candidates in the late night. The Congress is expected to come out with its list of 90 candidates. The Congress has fielded half-a-dozen new faces along with sitting MLAs. It is noteworthy that the 25th September is the last day for filing nominations. <br/>The BJP has also declared its third list of 18 candidates for the polls yesterday at New Delhi taking the total to 73 in the state. BJP actually announced 20 candidates yesterday but has changed the constituencies of two candidates and fresh announcement is for 18 candidates only. <br/>The President of the Vikas Parishad Party and former MLA Anil Vij yesterday rejoined the BJP and given ticket from Ambala Cantonment assembly segment. Mr. Vij had been the MLA from this constituency thrice and had lost the 2004 election by a margin of ony 600 votes. After leaving the BJP earlier he had floated Vikas Parishad Party.<br/>The Bahujan Samaj Party released a list of 63 candidates yesterday for assembly elections which include the names of its state President Prakash Bharati and ex-MLA Arjan Singh and Zakir Hussain. BSP General Secretary and In charge of party affairs in Haryana Mansingh Manhera released the list after a meeting with party chief Mayawati in Delhi. <br/>With just four days left for filing of nominations, four candidates have filed their papers for the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections so far. Sunday and Monday being holidays on account of Ied, no paper was filed on these days. <br/>Till now, the Congress has released the names of 59 candidates, NCP 30, BJP 24, and Trinamool Congresas 29. A few smaller parties have also announced their nominees. Only the JDU which is expected to contest 30 to 40 seats has not released its list. <br/>In UP the Bharatiya Janata Party BJP announced its three candidates for Etawah, Kolasala and Rari assembly constituencies by elections.<br/>
