In Orissa, poaching menace continued unabated in Simlipal with a leopard being killed near Kalipahada under the Simlipal Tiger Reserve's Pithabata Range.Honorary Wildlife Warden, Mayurbhanj Sanjukta Basa and Environmental activist Bhanumitra Acharya today claimed that they have spotted the body of the leopard. Mr. Acharya alleged that Tiger nails and teeth were on sale in a village near Sitakund, nearly, half-a-kilometer away from the Range Office. Mass killing of elephants were reported in Simlipal in the recent times.
