PM's statement on coal-gate 'unconvincing': Advani in blog?

The senior BJP leader L K Advani today said that the NDA has offered to resolve the deadlock in parliament on coal block allocation but government is not ready for this. He wrote in his blog that the NDA has offered to resolve the deadlock if all the allotments made are cancelled and the process whereby the screening committee has decided these allocations is subjected to a judicial probe. Mr.Advani said that the government is not yet prepared for this. Mr. Advani also slammed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for blaming state governments for coal allotments, calling it an unconvincing explanation.

While, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj today said that to solve the recent logjam in the parliament the government has to agree to the BJP’s demands of cancelling all the coal blocks allocations and conducting a fair and independent probe .

Addressing the media persons at a press conference in Mumbai today Sushma Swaraj said that the BJP had not given up the demand for PM’s resignation.

Swaraj also said that if the situation arises the BJP is ready for a mid-term poll. Earlier, Swaraj also Met Shivsena Chief Bal Thackray at his resident in Mumbai.
