The Prime Minister's Office is reported to have conveyed its concern over inaction by the Coal Ministry in cancelling blocks where mining has not taken place. According to PTI, PMO has asked the Coal Minstry to take action by the 6th of this month.

The Inter-Ministerial Group is to meeton Monday to take a decision on the fate of 58 coal blocks, which were not developed within the stipulated time.
