The Prime Minister's Office(PMO) sent a cheque of Rs 2 lakh and a condolence letter to the aggrieved family of the kidney patient who died on the way to the hospital in Chandigarh during Dr Manmohan Singh's visit there. Deputy Commissioner of Ambala, Samir Pal Saro visited the grieving family on Wednesday evening and handed over to Verma's kin the cheque and the condolence latter from the PMO. Earlier, the Prime Minister has issued instructions that the authorities should be more sensitive to the concerns of the common man while making security arrangements for VVIPs.
