The Prime Minister's Office today rubbished media reports about alleged misconduct of Home Minister Rajnath Singh's son Pankaj Singh.
The PMO in a statement dubbed these reports as plain lies, motivated and malicious attempt to tarnish the image of the government.
The statement came in the wake of a media report that Rajnath Singh was unhappy over rumours about his son being pulled up by Prime Minister Narendra Modi over some alleged misconduct.
The PMO said, those indulging in such rumour-mongering were damaging the interest of the nation.
Meanwhile, Congress today demanded that BJP should come out with an unambiguous clarification relating to allegations against Home Minister Rajnath Singh's son Pankaj Singh.
Party spokesperson Ajay Maken said in New Delhi that Rajnath Singh and Prime Minister should tell the nation what are the allegations that they have denied.
He said, in the public interest, Congress wants to know the real issue behind the entire episode.
