The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Tuesday reviewed the progress of 18 flagship programmes and key projects including NREGA and Bharat Nirman and gave directions for their expeditious implementation. <br/><br/>T K A Nair, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, issued directions about each project so as to expeditiously implement them by the respective ministries in consultation with the state governments. <br/><br/>Government has set up a monitoring mechanism in the PMO to oversee various prestigious flagship programmes and ensure prompt output and transparency in their functioning.
