Mishra, on Sunday reviewed at a high-level meeting, the situation arising out of severe air pollution in the National Capital Region, and other parts of North India.<br />'' <br />'' Senior officials from the States of Punjab, Haryana and Delhi, joined the meeting through video conferencing.<br />'' <br />'' The Cabinet Secretary will monitor the situation with these States on a daily basis.<br />'' <br />'' Chief Secretaries of these States have been asked to monitor the situation in various districts of their respective States, on a 24×7 basis.<br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports that around 300 teams are in the field in Delhi to reduce air pollution.<br />'' <br />'' Necessary machinery for this work has been distributed in the states. Main focus is on 7 Industrial Clusters and major traffic corridors in NCR.<br />'' <br />'' Centre is keeping a close watch on polluting units and burning of wastes besides the construction activities.<br />'' <br />'' Today's meeting was attended by Principal Adviser to PM, Cabinet Secretary and Secretaries from the Ministries of Agriculture; Environment, Forest and Climate Change; Cabinet Secretariat; Chairman, Central Pollution Control Board; DG, India Meteorological Department; Chief Secretary of Delhi, Punjab & Haryana and other senior officers.<br />'' <br />'' A series of meetings had taken place for necessary preparation earlier in this regard.<br />'' <br />''<br />''Principal Secretary to PM had earlier reviewed the situation on 24th October and Cabinet Secretary had chaired a meeting on this subject on 4th October.</span><br />
