PMO clarifies no expenses incurred on Sonia Gandhi’s foreign visits and medical treatment abroad

The Prime Minister’s Office has clarified that the government has incurred no expenses on UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s foreign visits and medical treatment abroad. Divulging the details on Twitter, the PMO said that the reports quoting expenses of 1,880 crore rupees on Sonia Gandhi's foreign visits and medical treatment abroad are untrue and misleading. AIR correspondent reports that the Central Information Commissioner has already denied these reports. A few days back, the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had said that the central government spent 1,880 crore rupees on Sonia Gandhi's foreign visits and medical treatment abroad.
