PMKVY enrollments cosses 10 lakh mark

The enrollments under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal VikasYojana (PMKVY) have crossed ten lakh mark. The enrollments have been done under 382 active job roles out of which 70 percent have already completed their training. The states which reflect maximum enrollments are Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh.<br/><br/>The sectors which saw maximum enrollments are logistics , agriculture , electronics, beauty and wellness, retail and automotive. The flagship scheme is being implemented by National Skill Development Corporation through a network of 1012 training partners. <br/><br/>Appreciating the achievement, Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Rajiv Pratap Rudy said it will encourage more youth to join the Skill India Mission. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal VikasYojana aims to offer 24 lakh Indian youth meaningful, industry relevant and skill based training.
