In Tamil Nadu, the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) has resolved not to align with Dravidian parties in future. A decision to this effect was reached at the party’s general council meeting on Wednesday. Addressing party workers, the founder of PMK, Dr.Ramadoss said that his party would lead an alternative front in future elections. Later speaking to newsperson, Dr.Ramadoss pointed out that though the Party had failed miserably in the 2009 and 2011 elections, it would be the best alternative for the Dravidian parties if they are independent. Replying to another query, Dr.Ramadoss said that he had discussed about having the Viduthlai Chiruthaigal Katchi led by Mr.Thol Thirmavalavan at their side. Presently PMK has three MLAs in the state Assembly.
