PMGKY being implemented effectively in Kargil in wake of COVID-19 pandemic

<span style="color: #222222;">Member of Parliament from Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal who reached Kargil last evening discussed with the CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan, Executive Councillor Muhammad Ali Chandan and DC Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary about various issues related to the evacuation of Ladakhi residents stranded in different parts of the country due to the countrywide lockdown triggered by COVID-19 pandemic.</span><span style="color: #333333;"><br />'' </span><span style="color: #222222;"> </span><span style="color: #333333;"><br />'' </span><span style="color: #222222;">Earlier, Mr. Namgyal accompanied the 12 buses carrying 330 Ladakhi students from Jammu and personally monitored the movement of these vehicles and clearance of an avalanche over Zojila Pass.</span><span style="color: #333333;"><br />'' </span><span style="color: #222222;"> </span><span style="color: #333333;"><br />'' </span><span style="color: #222222;">At Drass, he took stock of all arrangements related to screening of inbound passengers, establishment of quarantine facilities, medicare, provision of door to door delivery of ration and free ration under PMGKY, provision of free gas cylinders to the deserving beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.</span><span style="color: #333333;"><br />'' </span><span style="color: #222222;"> </span><span style="color: #333333;"><br />'' </span><span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Nmagyal also urged the people to ensure strict adherence of social distancing norms and other necessary precautions to contain the spread of COVID-19.
