PMAY Maharashtra aims to build 19.2 lakhs affordable houses in state

<span style="color: #222222;">Every citizen wants to own a house. Earlier, the prices was not allowing to commoners to have his or her own house. But, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana changed entire ecosystem. The scheme has identified the locations across the state where affordable houses are being built under the scheme. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana locations include Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Panvel, Ambarnath, Ulhasnagar, Badlapur and Dombivali. PMAY Maharashtra aims to build 19.2 lakhs affordable houses in the state. To hasten the development, MHADA has now tied up with private landowners to build projects in urban areas. PMAY offers an interest subsidy of up to 2.67 lakh rupees on home loans to purchase properties registered under the scheme. The loan could also be used to fund the construction of houses and claim the same subsidy. The beneficiaries are allowed to claim it for up to 20 years.<br />''<br />''The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) is officially a part of PMAY and is currently running surveys to define the scope of the project. Maharashtra Chief Minister has recently launched a Rural housing project called 'Maha Awas Yojana.' Under this project, 8.82 lakh rural houses are to be built in 100-day period. Currently, the value of the project has been estimated to be around 4,000 crore rupees. A total of 8,82,135 houses are targeted to be built under this project by February end. In all, four lakh 76 thousand and nine houses have been completed till last year. 'Housing for All by 2022' is the main aim of the scheme. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has fulfilled dreams of lakhs of people of owning a house.</span><br />
