The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh is visiting Leh today to take stock of relief and rescue operations in flood affected area. He left New Delhi a short while ago. AIR correspondent reports from New Delhi that Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, New and Renewable Energy Minister Farooq Abdullah, Former Union Minister Saifuddin Soz are accompanying the Prime Minister. AIR Leh correspondent reports that people in Leh have high expectations from Prime Minister's visit. Meanwhile, the Centre has assured all possible help to Jammu and Kashmir government for relief and rehabilitation of the people, affected by the cloud burst. Making a statement in the Lok Sabha on Monday, Home Minister P. Chidambaram said the Centre has asked the state government to submit a detailed memorandum for provision of relief and long term rehabilitation.
