Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Vice President Hamid Ansari, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Union Cabinet Ministers and leaders of various political parties today attended the “At Home” hosted by President Pratibha Patil on the occasion of Independence Day. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and LoP in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley were among the senior leaders present on the occasion. D Raja was the prominent Left leader to be present at the function. A number of diplomats, including US Ambassador Timothy Roemer and Pakistan High Commissioner Shahid Malik were also there.
