PM urges states to align their plans with budget advancement for maximum advantage

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the states to align their plans with the advancement of Union Budget being done by the Centre to take maximum advantage of the move. Mr Modi said this during his monthly meeting of PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) in New Delhi yesterday.<br/><br/>He said, the presentation of the Budget is being advanced by about a month to ensure speedier implementation of projects and schemes.<br/><br/>Prime Minister also asked all the Secretaries of the Central Government and Chief Secretaries of States to study the World Bank's report on Ease of Doing Business and analyse the areas where there is a scope for improvement.<br/> <br/>The latest World Bank report has ranked India at 130th place out of 190 nations in 'Ease of Doing Business'. Mr Modi sought a report from all the concerned within a month and directed the Cabinet Secretary to review the same thereafter.
