PM urges people to be part of development journey of the country

In his first communication through All India Radio, Prime Minister today exhorted citizens to be a part of the development journey of the country. Mr Narendra Modi said, the nation belongs to everyone and it is important for everyone to join hands with the government to take the country to newer heights.

In the Radio programme ‘Man ki Baat’, Mr Modi again urged people to take pledge to spread cleanliness on the occasion of Vijaya Dashmi which is being celebrated today. Mr Modi said, during the launch of Swachh Bharat Mission Thursday, he has invited nine prominent people to join the campaign to spread the message of cleanliness.

The Prime Minister appealed to the people to buy at least one Khadi product to lit the lamp of prosperity in the life of poor. He promised the citizens that he would continue interacting with them at least once or twice in a month on Sunday at 11 AM.

The Prime Minister said, 125 crore Indians are blessed with immense skill and strengths and there is a need to understand their capabilities.

The programme ‘Man ki Baat’ is one more innovative way of the Prime Minister to communicate with the people. While deciding to reach out to the people through Radio, he had sought suggestions from the public on such initiative.

Regional Language version of ‘Man Ki Baat’ programme will be broadcast on regional networks at 8 P.M. All AIR Stations including local Radio stations in their regional languages will relay the regional version. News bulletin in English at 08.00 PM, Sports news Bulletin at 08.05 PM and Samachar Darshan at 08.20 PM will be broadcast as usual and will be relayed by Multi Channel AIR Stations on one of their channels.
