Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Varanasi tomorrow where he will launch a prestigious Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS). This scheme aims at providing affordable, reliable and round the clock power supply to urban areas. Under the IPDS, Varanasi will get about 572 corer rupees for strengthening city's power infrastructure.<br/><br/>The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for Varanasi ring-road phase- one works. Before launching the Integrated Power Development Scheme, Prime Minister will inaugurate the super specialty Trauma Centre and Hospital at Banaras Hindu University. According to the district administration, Prime Minister will also address a public meeting at DLW ground after the launching of the schemes. This program was originally scheduled on 28th June but had to be rescheduled due to heavy rain.
