Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat today to pay his last respect to Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the head of Bochasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Sanstha (BAPS). Prime Minister is expected to reach Sarangpur temple near Ahmedabad this afternoon, where the body of late Shri Pramukh Swami Maharaj is kept for Antim Darshan.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that elaborate security arrangements have been made in view of short visit of Prime Minister. Companies of State Reserve Police Force, Quick Response Teams, Chetak Commando teams, bomb disposal squads along with state police have been deployed at Sarangpur ahead of Prime Minister's visit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had described Pramukh Swami Maharaj as his mentor in his earlier tweet.<br/><br/>Head of BAPS Pramukh Swami Maharaj passed away on last Saturday. Last rites of the spiritual leader will take place at 3 PM on 17th August. Meanwhile, Mahant Swami Keshavji Vandasji Maharaj has been formally installed as successor of Pramukh Swami Maharaj as a head of Bochasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Sanstha. This was decided in an assembly at BAPS in Sarangpur temple campus.
