Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assi Ghat on the bank of river Ganga in Varanasi this morning. Mr Modi will visit the Ghat to give a boost to his Swachh Bharat Swachh Ganga campaign and encourage the people to join it. He will also visit a hospital at the ashram of spiritual leader Shri Anandamayee Maa before leaving for Delhi. The Prime Minister arrived in Varanasi Friday on a two-day visit to the city. Addressing prominent citizens and intellectuals in the city Friday night, Mr Modi made an appeal to them to create an atmosphere to make Varanasi the cleanest city in the world.
