PM to reply on motion of thanks in Rajya Sabha today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today make reply in the Rajya Sabha on the motion of thanks to the Presidential address of both the house of parliament. Mr Modi has already made his reply in the Lok Sabha and after that motion was adopted in the house. Sources said that Congress has issued a whip asking all members in the Upper House to be present during Prime Minister's reply on the motion. <br/><br/>Yesterday, intervening into the debate on the motion of thanks Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had claimed that during the last two years of NDA regime, there was not a single case of corruption. He said, corruption now is not a matter of core concern. <br/><br/>He told opposition parties that the government is trying to bring black money stashed away in foreign banks, but could not reveal the names, unless through judicial process. He said, if the names are made public, it would only help those violators.<br/><br/>The Finance Minister suggested, opposition parties should eschew obstructionism and join hands with the government for the development of the nation while countering Rahul Gandhi's attack over issues related to intolerance, inflation and foreign policy.<br/><br/>Beside, this National Waterways Bill 2015 and Whistle Blowers Protection (Amendment) Bill, 2015 is also scheduled to come up in Rajya Sabha for consideration and passing. In Lok Sabha Home Minister Rajnath Singh will move the Enemy Property (Amendment and Validation) Bill, 2016 for consideration and passing.
