Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will meet the Deputy Chairman of the Panning Commission and other members on Wednesday evening to review the state of economy of the country. The Prime Minister is likely to discuss the gross budgetary support for the next fiscal in view of the start of the budgetary exercise. He is also expected to discuss measures to check rising food prices. The food inflation which has risen almost 20 per cent continues to remain an area of concern for the UPA. The government is also keen to keep the fiscal deficit under control and the issue is also likely to be discussed. AIR correspondent says the meeting comes a day after the Delivery Monitoring Cell in the PMO reviewed the progress of the flagship programmes as well as the Prime Minister's Reconstruction Plan for Jammu and Kashmir and Infrastructure Development in North-Eastern Region. <br/>
