The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan will meet his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao at Hanoi in Vietnam this morning. Ahead of the talks, India has expressed the hope that discussions will be productive. Highly informed sources said, they see no reason why the meeting should not be substantive, cordial and productive. The Prime Minister arrived in Hanoi on Thursday evening on a three-day visit to Vietnam on the third and final leg of his Asia tour. AIR correspondent says that boundary question, trade imbalance, issue of stapled visa by China for the residents of Jammu and Kashmir as well other bilateral, regional and international matters are likely to come up for discussion at the meeting. The Prime Minister will also have bilateral talks with the President of South Korea Lee Myung-bak today. Ahead of the talks, Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma said outstanding issues with regard to POSCO steel plant to be set-up by South Korea Company in Orissa will be addressed in a constructive manner. Mr. Sharma who is accompanying the Prime Minister on his visit to Malaysia and Vietnam was speaking to media on board the special air craft on way to Hanoi from Kulalumpur. The Prime Minister will attend the India -ASEAN Summit and East Asia Summit tomorrow and also hold talks with the Prime Ministers of Vietnam, Australia and Singapore.
