AICC General Secretary Mr Digvijay Singh on Friday said that the Prime Minister will look into the sugarcane price ordinance to ensure it does not harm the interests of the farmers. Talking to reporters outside the Parliament, he claimed that the ordinance is not anti farmer in any way as it does not restrict state governments in fixing higher prices for sugar cane. Supporting Mamta Banerjee’s plea on land acquisition, he also said that the Prime Minister has assured that farmers’ interest will be taken in account while finalizing the land acquisition law.<br/>
