Following the official bilateral component of the visit, the Prime Minister will attend the 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit, which will discuss international cooperative measures to protect nuclear materials and facilities from terrorist groups. The first Nuclear Security Summit was held in Washington in 2010. 58 Heads of States will be participating in the Seoul Summit. The main focus will be on the global threat posed by nuclear terrorism and measures required to prevent terrorists from gaining access to sensitive nuclear technology. The Summit deliberations and results will be reflected in the Seoul Communique.
