PM to kickstart Yaad Karo Kurbani celebrations tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kickstart the Yaad Karo Kurbani celebrations tomorrow at the birthplace of freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad at Alirajpur in Madhya Pradesh to mark 70 years of Independence and 74 years of Quit India Movement. <br/><br/>Briefing media in New Delhi today, senior BJP leader and Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said, all the Union Ministers will visit 150 places all over the country associated with Indian freedom movement. <br/><br/>He said, Home Minister Rajnath Singh will visit the birthplace of Birsa Munda in Jharkhand and Asfaqullah Khan in Uttar Pradesh. <br/><br/>He said, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will visit the Cellular jail in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Rewari, Haryana the birthplace of Rao Tularam. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will visit Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar as well as Hiranagar in Jammu and Kashmir. <br/><br/>Mr Naidu said, women Ministers will travel to the border to tie Rakhis to soldiers on August 18. Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu will himself visit the Azad Maidan in Mumbai from where the Quit India movement was launched and Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu, the birthplace of Tamil poet Subramania Bharathiyar and V O Chidambaram Pillai. Mr Naidu said, BJP president Amit Shah will visit Kakori.<br/><br/>Speaking at the briefing, BJP General Secretary Arun Singh said, Prabhat Pheris will be held all over the country tomorrow on the occasion of Quit India Anniversary Day. <br/><br/>He said, party leaders and workers will come out on the streets in towns and villages carrying the tricolour and garlanding statues of freedom fighters. He said, on August 14th evening, there will be a Mashaal Jaloos. He said, from August 16th to 23rd, there will be Tiranga Yatra.
