<span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the representatives of Varanasi based NGOs tomorrow through video conferencing. During the interaction, Prime Minister will discuss and showcase the efforts of these organizations which played a significant role in providing food and other assistance during lockdown. During the lockdown imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the residents of Varanasi and members of social organizations provided assistance to the District Administration.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">They ensured the timely food distribution to the needy people in collaboration with District officials. More than hundred organizations in Varanasi distributed almost 20 lakh food packets and 2 lakh dry ration kits through the food cell of the District Administration. These organizations also distributed masks and sanitizers.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The NGOs have been honoured as 'corona warriors' by the District Administration. The NGOs serve in diverse fields including education, social, religious, health, social clubs and professional sectors. </span> <br />
