PM to inaugurate 19th Conference of CBI, State Anti-Corruption Bureau tomorrow

The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will inaugurate the 19th Conference of the Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI and State Anti-Corruption Bureau in New Delhi tomorrow. The two-day Conference will focus on the ‘Role of Anti Corruption Agencies in the Economic Development of the Country’. It will also discuss the issues including policy challenges in the allocation of natural resources, constitutional principles and application of criminal law in allocation of resources, use of technology in tackling corruption and asset recovery in corruption Cases. The CBI officers and representatives of anti-corruption and Vigilance agencies from the States and Union Territories, will share their best practices with regard to anti-corruption investigation in the country. On this occasion, Dr. Singh will also present the President’s Police Medals for Distinguished Service to CBI Officers and will honour CBI Investigators for outstanding performance.
