Governing council of NITI Aayog will meet tomorrow to take stock of the economy and other important issues post – demonetisation. Sources said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will seek feedback of NITI Aayog members, economists and top officials of the concerned ministries on the issue. The theme of the tomorrow's meeting is Economic Policy Reform, Road Ahead.<br/><br/>The meeting assumes significance in the backdrop of various multilateral agencies and RBI lowering growth forecast for the current fiscal. RBI has reduced the GDP growth forecast to 7.1 per cent from 7.6 per cent in its monetary policy review earlier this month. Besides, the meeting, called by the Prime Minister is also expected to chalk out a strategy to deal with impact of cash crunch on the economy particularly, unorganised sector. The Prime Minister will also take stock of various initiatives of the NITI Aayog to promote the digital economy like Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi-Dhan Vyapar Yojana for incentivising digital payment.
