PM to give cleanest railway station award to Surat on September 30

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give away the cleanest Railway Station Award to Surat Railway station in a function at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on 30th October. <br/><br/>The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) had conducted a survey in March 2016 and that the passengers were asked questions on 40 cleanliness parameters. Surat received the maximum response in the country for being the cleanest railway station, followed by Rajkot and Bilaspur in Chattisgarh.<br/><br/>Superintendent of Surat Railway Station CM Khatik gave the credit to the housekeeping personnel involved in cleaning and maintaining the railway station. He also thanked the passengers for maintaining cleanliness at the platform and cooperating the staff.
