PM to embark on three day visit to UK on Thursday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a three day visit to United Kingdom on Thursday. <br/><br/>Briefing media on Prime Minister's upcoming UK visit, Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar said Mr Modi will hold talks with his British counterpart David Cameron and have luncheon meeting with the Queen. <br/><br/>He said political and security related discussion on global and regional issues are high on the agenda of talks. <br/>The Foreign Secretary said economic relation is an important aspect of the visit. He said science and technology and education are also an important aspect Indo-UK ties. <br/><br/>Mr Modi will be the first prime minister to address the British Parliament.<br/><br/>He will be paying homage to the Mahatma Gandhi statue which was unveiled last year and also visit the Tata-JLR factory .<br/><br/>Prime Minister will also pay a visit to the house where DR B R Ambedakar had stayed during his stay in London.<br/><br/>The House was recently aquired by Maharashtra government and it willbe converted into a museum for the public visit and to pay their respect.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports UK investments in India amount to 22 billion dollars, and Indian investments in UK stands at around 500 million dollars. Bilateral trade between the two nations is around 18 billion dollars.
