<br/>Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will preside over a specially convened meeting of Chief Ministers of Naxal-affected states along with home minister P. Chidambram in New Delhi today. Chief Ministers of Orissa, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar will participate to work out a fresh strategy to curb the Left-wing extremism. <br/><br/>Jharkhand, which is under President's Rule, will be represented by its Governor. The plan to redeploy paramilitary forces engaged in anti-Naxal operations and development schemes undertaken by the Planning Commission are expected to be discussed in detail. Government has been maintaining that accelerated development and calibrated police action are the two pillars of its anti-Naxal policy.
