Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural day of the World Government Summit in Dubai today. India has been given the status of Guest of Honour at the Summit. <br/><br/>More than 140 countries are participating in the Summit. Twenty Heads of States, head of governments and International organizations are likely to participate in the World Government Summit. <br/><br/>Talking to AIR, Ambassador Navdeep Suri said that Prime Minister in his address will speak on "Technology and Governance" , a subject which is close to his heart.<br/>'<br/>On the sidelines of the World Government Summit, Prime Minister is expected to meet other world leaders.<br/>'<br/>After the event, Prime Minister will interact with the leading UAE and Arab CEOs on the vast economic opportunities in India and discuss prospects to increase business collaboration and investments in India in various sectors.<br/>'<br/>Mr Modi will witness the live streaming of the ground breaking ceremony of first Hindu temple being built in Abu Dhabi. The Temple Committee Members also presented the temple literature to the Crown Prince and Mr Modi. <br/>'<br/>Prime Minister will address an Indian Community event at the iconic Opera House in Dubai. At least 2000 people are expected to be present at the Community event.<br/>'<br/>Mr Modi arrived in Abu Dhabi yesterday evening on the third leg of three-nation tour. In a special gesture, he was received at the airport by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the UAE and the other members of the royal family, which is an 'exceptional honour' given to a visiting dignitary.<br/>'<br/>In a tweet, Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed welcomed Mr Modi and said that 'his visit reflects our long standing historical ties and is a testament to our friendly bilateral relationship'.<br/><br/>The Crown Prince also said that the Prime Minister Modi's visit is a firm indication that the two leaders are moving closer towards closer joint cooperation in all fields and stated that this is an important visit that adds to the architecture of friendship and mutual cooperation.<br/>'<br/>After an extended one to one conversation, Prime Minister led the delegation level talks with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi at the Royal Place. Mr Modi is the first foreign leader to be invited to this palace by the Crown Prince. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister tweeted that he is delighted to meet his friend Sheikh Mohammed and that the two held extensive deliberations on boosting India-UAE cooperation and how this can benefit the two nations as well as the world.<br/>'<br/>The Crown Prince hosted a special banquet in honour of Prime Minister who was the first international dignitary to be hosted at the new Presidential Palace.<br/>'<br/>The Crown Prince in his interaction with Mr Modi appreciated the role of the Indian workers in the development of UAE as a modern nation. The UAE leadership also spoke of the 'trust ' which the Emiratis have in the Indians.<br/>'<br/>Later briefing the media, Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale and Ambassador Navdeep Suri said that the delegation level talks covered various aspect including energy cooperation, financial intelligence, terror, defence and maritime cooperation. <br/><br/>They also spoke of the currency swap agreement to cut down on exchange loss. The two countries can now trade in Rupees and dirhams, which will help the business community to save in the loss of exchange. Ambassador Navdeep Suri also spoke of the soon to be signed an Agreement on Financial Intelligence to prevent money laundering.<br/>
