Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will attend the 11th India-ASEAN Summit and 8th East Asia Summit at Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei today. The Prime Minister arrived in Brunei last evening. He was received at the airport by Haji Mohammad Abdoh, Permanent Secretary in the office of the Prime Minister of Brunei. Dr. Singh is also scheduled to meet the Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott on the sidelines of the summit today. Supply of uranium to India by Australia is likely to figure prominently during their talks. Our correspondent reports that the India-ASEAN and East Asia summits hold special significance for India in its Look East policy. Dr. Singh will leave for Jakarta in Indonesia later in the
evening on the the second leg of his visit.
