Today is the second day of Governors Conference at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address its concluding session this evening.<br/><br/>Twenty-three Governors and two Lieutenant Governors are participating in the two-day Conference.<br/><br/>On the first day of the conference, President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday said Governors can play a persuasive role in improving quality of education in the country.<br/><br/>He had said our nation has grown from strength to strength since independence primarily due to steadfast adherence to the principles enshrined in the Constitution.<br/><br/>The President had also said the Union government's schemes have to run in close partnership with state governments for their successful implementation.
