PM terms Prakash Singh Badal as one of the bravest soldiers for his contribution in restoration of democracy during emergency

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has termed the late former Chief Minister of Punjab Prakash Singh Badal as one of the bravest soldiers for his contribution in restoration of democracy during the dark days of the emergency. He said, Mr Badal himself suffered the high-handedness of the imperious Congress culture when his government was dismissed.<br />'' <br />''In an article published in an English daily, Prime Minister said, Mr Badal shaped India's and Punjab's politics and his contribution can be described as unparalleled. Mr Modi said, he received Badal's guidance on numerous issues especially those related to agriculture including water conservation, animal husbandry and dairy farming.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister said, after the NDA government came to power at the Centre in 2014, Mr Badal provided valuable insights based on his rich governmental experience. Mr Modi said, he strongly supported several reforms including the historic GST. He described Prakash Singh Badal as a man who was deeply committed to fulfilling the ideals of the great Sikh Gurus and made noteworthy efforts to preserve and celebrate Sikh heritage.</span><br />
