PM terms continous stalling of Parl by opposition negation of democracy

The Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh has criticised the opposition for disrupting the Monsoon session of Parliament. Talking to media outside Parliament House after the end of the session, Dr. Singh said that the government was always willing to discuss the coal block allocation issue in the House but the opposition chose not to take advantage of the subtle institutional practices dealing with the reports of CAG and insisted on disrupting Parliament.

Describing it a total negation of democracy, he asked people to stand up against such attitude of disruption, warning that it would be a grave violation of Parliamentary politics.

Dr.Singh asserted that Parliament could have debated more important issues like naxalism, ethnic violence, terrorism and economic situation in the country. He said that the government is trying that the country does not get affected by the economic crisis that the world is going through.
