PM: Talks are on to resolve Chinese incursion issue in Ladakh

India today said that it does not want to accentuate the situation over the recent Chinese incursion in Ladakh and talks are on to resolve it. Replying to questions by reporters on the sidelines of the defence investiture ceremony in New Delhi, the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh called the incursion a localised problem.

The government had on Friday told a parliamentary committee that Chinese troops had pitched tents 19 kilometers inside the Indian territory in Ladakh region. The Army has given its inputs to the government and rushed its troops to camp there.

In reply to a query on opposition demanding Law Minister's resignation over a CBI affidavit submitted to the Supreme Court in the coal scam, the Prime Minster ruled out such a demand.

On frequent stalling of Parliament, Dr. Singh urged the opposition to allow the House to function to discuss issues of public importance.

The Prime Minister termed the attack on Indian Citizen Sarabjit Singh in Pakistan jail as a very sad incident.
