PM takes stock of CWG preparations

The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh today took stock of preparations for the forthcoming commonwealth games. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, the Union Sports Minister Mr. M S Gill said that he informed Dr. Singh that all preparations are on track and the staida are ready for the games. Dr Manmohan Singh is also likely to review the preparations for the Commonwealth Games at a high-level meeting on Friday. Earlier when he visited the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, the main venue for the games, he asked the authorities to redouble their efforts to quickly complete remaining work. The sports minister at the function launched the trilingual song about the mascot SHERA, sung in Hindi, English and Punjabi languages.
