The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has strongly rejected the allegations of bribery in the trust vote in 2008. Making a statement in the Lok Sabha today after Opposition stalled proceedings in the two houses in the backdrop of Wikileaks expose on the issue, he said government cannot confirm the veracity, existence and content of such reports. Dr. Singh said some of the people named in the Wikileaks have already denied their involvement. He charged the Opposition of raising an issue which has been already debated and rejected. Dr. Singh asserted that those who raised such issues have been rejected by the people in the last elections. Not satisfied with the reply of the Prime Minister, the Opposition wanted clarifications which are not permissible under rules. This led to the adjournment of the House till 3.30 P.M.
