Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh says if anything wrong has been done by anybody in the 2G spectrum case, he will be brought to book. Replying to questions at a function in New Delhi, he said various aspects of that issue were being looked into by respective agencies in their domains of interest. Speaking for the first time on the issue, Dr. Singh asserted there should be no doubt in anybody's mind about it. He appealed THE Opposition to allow Parliament to function normally and said the Government was ready to discuss the Spectrum and other issues on the floor of the House. The Prime Minister asserted that there was a need to effectively deal with the threat of corruption. He added small farmers and entrepreneurs often face the odds on this front.Responding to questions on President Obama's visit to India, he maintained it was a great success as it has taken the relations between the two countries to a new high. Dr. Singh said New Delhi was ready to hold talks with Islamabad to discuss all the issues but terror machine must stop first. He referred in detail India's efforts in improving relations with its neighbours and described the look east policy as very successful. Singh noted that the Government had been able to confront the crisis every time and turn it into an opportunity.Talking about the economy, the Prime Minister said it will return to sustained growth path of 9 to 10 per cent of the GDP next year . He added that India's saving rates were closed to 37 per cent of the GDP.Reiterating his point of view, Dr. Singh added that there was a need to reduce average age of people in power. He elaborated that he favoured a young Cabinet. In his typical style, the Prime Minister said that he feels like a high school student facing one test after the other while being in power.
