Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Congress President Mrs. Sonia Gandhi will also visit Chhattisgarh today. State Chief Minister Raman Singh has ordered a judicial inquiry into the incident.

Minister of State for Home RPN Singh has said that the government is giving top priority to find out Chhattisgarh Congress President Nand Kumar Patel and his son suspected to have been kidnapped by the Maoists. He said, government will make every effort to provide security to all political workers in the state. The Minister will also visit Chhattisgarh tomorrow to assess the situation arising out of the deadly attack.

Meanwhile, more than 600 CRPF personnel including Cobra Commandos have been rushed to sanitise and take control of the attack site. The Centre has mobilized the CRPF personnel not only to take control of the area but also launch search and rescue operations in the nearby jungles.
