Congress general secretary, Rahul Gandhi, has said that the Prime Minister should not be brought under the Lok Pal. He said Lok Pal Bill which is meant to combat corruption among politicians and bureaucrats should not apply to the Prime Minister till he or she is in office. Addressing a press conference at Bhubaneswar today, Rahul Gandhi said Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi are very tough on corruption. On the Mumbai serial bomb blasts, Rahul Gandhi said, the UPA government promptly responded to the situation and is working to tackle it in an organised manner. Rahul Gandhi is on a two-day visit to Odisha since yesterday to strengthen the grassroots base of the Congress party.
