Prime Minister Narendra Modi has selected another village for adoption in his Varanasi Constituency of U.P. for development under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY). Nagepur, a village dominated by backward castes has been selected under the second phase of the Yojana. Earlier, Prime Minister had adopted Jayapur village in the same Varanasi constituency in the first phase in 2014. <br/><br/>The office of Varanasi Chief Development Officer received a letter from PMO regarding Nagepur's selection on Saturday night after which jubilation prevailed in the village. The CDO told media that the district officials have been asked to submit a primary survey report of Nagepur by March 20. A village development plan will be drafted later, he said.
