PM seeks support from Intl forums in achieving faster growth rate in India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that International forums should support India in achieving the desired growth rate.

Intervening during G-20 leaders Summit at Brisbane in Australia, Mr. Modi said, India wants faster growth rate and world forums like G-20 could support this move. Spokesperson of External Affairs Ministry, Syed Akbaruddin told reporters that the Prime Minister said that G-20 should send a message about revival of global economy and creation of jobs.

Earlier, Mr Modi met with Prime Minister of Canada and President of France and discussed bilateral issues.

He also met with the US President Barrak Obama during BRICS meeting.

During his meeting with leaders of BRICS countries, Mr Modi repeated his priority of repatriation of black money deposited in foreign banks.

He underlined the need to fasten the process for establishment of BRICS development bank.

He said that information system among these countries should be in digital format. G20 summit will conclude on Sunday.

AIR Correspondent reports that issues of increase of at least 2 percent growth rate in global economy, creation of more jobs, climate change, energy security and threat of Ebola virus are the major issues being discussed in G20 Leaders summit.
